Cardano is the highest ranked crypto brand in new research on brand intimacy

The brand relations agency MBLM released its 2022 report, following research conducted between January and October 2021, according to which the popular blockchain Cardano ranks 26 among 600 brands in regards to consumer emotional connection with brands (brand intimacy). Besides placing Cardano right in front of Nestle and BMW, MBLM ranked Bitcoin 30, while no other crypto project was included in the top 100 list of the report.

The research utilized AI processing massive amounts of data in order to provide a glimpse into consumer relations with some of the world’s leading brands, including Apple, Mercedes, Tesla, etc. The report positioned crypto at eighth place among nineteen analyzed industries and saw Cardano take the first spot in the industry’s internal ranking despite being a new addition on the list compared to previous years’ reports, while Bitcoin was second, and Polkadot third (111 in the total ranking). Furthermore, Cardano is also the highest-performing financial services brand in the study.

According to MBLM, brands from its list outperform Fortune 500 companies and the stock market – a conclusion made after the top 20 “intimate brands” were compared to top Fortune 500 brands in regards to growth and stock performance during 2021 versus 2020 and intimate brands were seen to have delivered “superior results across profit and stock”.

Other finds from the research include consumers’ willingness to pay more for intimate brands, intimate brands being more focused on the long-term sustainability of the relationship with their customers, and consumers being generally more involved with intimate brands. MBLM also states that brands part of the smartphone ecosystem generally outperform those that are not.
